Merci was abandoned and needed medical attention when found.  She was treated for her wounds and spayed. 

Her initial demeanor was fearful of everyone but she is starting to trust more and more of the volunteers each day.  She is a little confused about the "Mask" that we are all wearing now at the shelter.  

Merci is now playing with some of the shelter toys and is developing bonds with the volunteers.  Next step will be to introduce her to other animals.  

Merci is estimated to be between 7 and 8 years old but has shown a youthful playfulness.
